Is your car recalled?
Recall My Car answers that question in one step. Enter a VIN or pick a year, make and model and see every NHTSA safety recall, every owner complaint, and the EPA ratings for that vehicle. Free, no account, nothing to buy.
The problem
About one in five cars on the road has an open safety recall, and the fix is free.
The information to close that gap is public. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration publishes every recall and every owner complaint it receives, and the EPA publishes fuel economy for every model sold. But the government sites are built for filing reports, not for an owner asking "what's wrong with my car?"
Most sites that fill the gap sell vehicle history reports and treat the free recall check as a funnel: enter your VIN, hand over your email, buy the report. The answer to a safety question shouldn't sit behind an upsell.
Recall My Car takes the opposite posture. One field, an instant verdict, the source cited on every page, and nothing to buy.
In the product
Recalls, complaints and specs for every model year, on one page.
Each vehicle page joins three government datasets that are normally three separate searches: the recall campaigns that list that model year, what owners have reported to NHTSA, and the EPA's fuel economy ratings.
How it works
