Community events, without the admin.
Assembly is event and community software for homeschooling families. It handles the scheduling, invitations, and coordination that co-ops currently run through group chats and shared spreadsheets.
The problem
Co-ops run on volunteer time, and most of it goes to logistics.
A single weekly meetup for forty families means tracking who's coming, who's bringing what, which rooms are booked, who has paid, and who still needs reminding. Today that lives across a group chat, a spreadsheet, and a long thread of text messages.
General-purpose event tools don't fit the shape of the problem. They're built around a one-off event with an audience of strangers — not the same community gathering week after week, where the roster barely changes and the coordination is constant.
The result is that the person doing the organising spends more time on admin than on the thing everyone turned up for.
In the product
Every gathering in one place.
Each event gets its own page — what it is, when and where it's happening, and who has said yes. Families see what's coming up without scrolling back through a chat thread to find the details.
